bad design Strikes again

Is this a poster for an elementary school play?

I'm afraid that this display of "creativity" is for a
a Play at a University.

a caption in black reads "Come and get a clue"
who ever made this needs more than just "a clue"

What is the point of the gun and the knife why are they paper cutouts and the candle looks more like the bishop in a chess piece or something else thats more explicit

Not to mention the awful use of Hierarchy SOME WORK went into it but not enough.

I felt like gouging my eyes out when I first saw this atrocity.

god help the people living in that building.

YouTube and copyrighted material

This is not old new we all know that youtube has been and still is trying to maintain good standing with main stream media. This is not a bad thing since youtube is trying to avoid copyright claims by recored companies, TV and movie studios. However, many youtubers use these types of media to create artistic or more engaging videos. The fair use act was placed so that youtubers can use these medias "within Limits". However, the problem rises when the youtuber doesn't stay within these limits this mainly due to the fact that those limits are not made clear to the public. In addition there many music videos on youtube that were made by yuotubers are even the original music videos recorded from a tv channel and uploaded to youtube this makes it hard for many youtubers to know what the fair use act's limits are.

Artists want to be paid. the main thing is payment if the video is not a parody then there should not be any problem because there's need to get approval for making a parody. However, if for example the music used belongs to an artist then permission is needed for it to be used and getting permission is costly because it entails paying said artist. So, when the fair use act came to be it meant that it is possible to use this content without permission if the person using it stays the within limits.

What youtube is doing currently is e-mailing youtubers when they see that a video has copyrighted content. Not to mention if the content is a song they add a link to the original artist's youtube page/channel if they have one. They also write down the name of the song/musical content with links to buy them on amazone and iTunes. This is a good step since it helps the artists to sell their music to more people. Unfortunately this doesn't stop said artist from taking action against the youtuber that included that music in his/her video.
Artist might remove the audio from the clip everything even the parts that don't include their music or even have they video taken down.

My thoughts are how do we as youtubers come to term with artists since we are fans and consumers of their music. We use their music because there's a connection we feel to their music and at time we want people to know about their new song and albums. and sometime their music fits in pretty well with the video content that we create and at times it even emphasizes the massage that our videos have. We certainly don't mean any harm to our favorite artists.

Venturing out

I have created three T-Shirt designs for one of my classes. Every since I made them I have been thinking of producing them for real. I was always hesitant thinking that no one is going to be interested in buying them. I guess I just needed a push in the right direction and thanks to a good friend of mine who keeps supporting my and cheering me on I have finally got the courage actually produce these shirts well two of them at least. In addition, I an working on two new designs these are going completely different from the other two designs since they are for a different audience.

Right now I have received a quote from the business that's going to produce these shirts for me and I am going to be contacting different businesses in order to have make a good decision. It's really funny I never thought I'd be doing things like this but I know that I really need to do this.

this is my time to show the world what I'm made off and prove to myself that these obstacles that I'm going to face are only as difficult as I make them to be I need to stay positive and just give it all I got sink or swim it's all experience. What's important is learn from these experiences. Besides we humans learn more from failure than we do from success.

iSore

This was a flyer at my school as usual it was promoting an event at school. I find the illustration of the cat charming while the use of the "aged paper" background is somewhat excessive brining down the opacity may have been a a good solution.

However, that's not what made this flyer an eyesore rather it's the use of six fonts (typefaces) seven if you include the one for the show title. This excessive use of fonts is amateurish at best. Second, the leading (the space between the lines) is way off. It seems the person who how made this couldn't make up their mind about using a sansarif font or a sarif font.
In addition to that the lines of text seem to be aligned at random and have no real rhyme or reason.

This Bloomberg Businessweek was something I just happen to notice in the school library. it made it into my iSore(eyesore) article> I understand the premiss of the design which is that plug in cars are messy. You have a wire running covering the whole page which is an extremely distractive element. This wire could have been drawn and or illustrated in different ways that would be eye-catching and not be such an eyesore. It seems sloppy and uninspired and the lack of a sense of good esthetics is just simply nonexistent in this magazine cover.

Beauty & the beast

I have finally finished my video project titled Beauty and the beast.
A reflection on how women suffer from the false standard of beauty that industry has forced on them and on the public.
